The Archery Range at Binder Park was completed in December of 2024. Built with support from the Missouri Department of Conservation’s Outdoor Infrastructure Grant, the range will include four shooting lanes with targets and protective backdrops, bow and quiver holders, and lines delineating target distances.
Rules & Regulations
- Range hours: Open sunrise to sunset.
- If others are waiting to use the range, please limit your time to 45 minutes.
- Only two shooters are allowed per lane at the same time.
- Shoot from the designated shooting position. Shooting from in front of or behind
the provided shooting line is not permitted. - Never sky-draw or shoot arrows upward into the air.
- Shoot only at the target designated for your shooting position.
- No cross-lane shooting.
- Always check your surroundings, including down range, before nocking an
arrow. - All archers must coordinate their activity. When finished shooting, hang bows on
bow rack and wait until all archers are finished shooting before going down
range to retrieve your arrows. All shooters must retrieve their arrows at the same
time. - Adults must accompany participants 15 years old and under.
- Pets are not allowed in archery areas.
- Broadheads, firearms, air guns, paintball guns, throwing knives or hatchets are
prohibited. Only bullet points and field points may be used. - Crossbows are allowed with bolts.
- Possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on the range.
- Pick up all trash.
- Report any incidents or accidents immediately to JC Parks.
- Persons using this range do so at their own risk.
- Failure to follow any of these rules will result in loss of shooting privileges.
