- October 2024 – April 2025: Pavilion and restrooms closed, reservations available after project completion
- October 16-18, 2024: Additional closure — Memorial Park closed from 5 AM – 4 PM for forestry work
- Temporary restrooms will be provided by the Memorial Park Playground and Tot Lot (playground closest to the pavilion)
BUDGET:
- Project Budget: $796,400.00
- Project Cost: $825,701.66
- Contractor: Rhad Baker Construction; Mid Mo Epoxy
- Design work cost not included as this was completed by The Architects Alliance which included design work for Ellis Porter pavilion renovation
- Funding Source: Parks Capital Improvement Program 1/2 cent sales tax
SCOPE OF WORK
- New exterior siding
- Updated lighting
- Renovated interior slab and epoxy coating
- Replace structural struts and concrete pedestal foundations
- New BBQ Grill
- Rolltop door, new countertops, and three-bowl stainless steel sink to improve concession area
- Connector sidewalks near BBQ and ADA parking spaces
- Additional security cameras
- Addition of a freestanding drinking fountain and bottle filler
- Renovated restrooms
